Are you a Transfer Student?
Our ASR colleagues and TES specialist will be on hand to provide students with a general overview of how to access and read their APAS report and how the transfer credit review process works at the U of M (of course, for all specific questions regarding degree requirements we will be sure to have students contact their Academic Advisor).
Although geared for more recent transfer students, any transfer student is welcome.

Study Abroad for Transfer Students
Study abroad can be complicated for transfer students, so we are hosting a session with the Learning Abroad Center on study abroad specifically for transfers. We will cover timing and financial planning with a lens on the transfer student concerns..

Come checkout the Hiring Grads 2019 Career Fair on April 23rd from 2:00PM-4:30PM in the Beacon Room on the 2nd floor of the Rec Well. You will have the opportunity to connect with 25+ representatives from a variety of staffing agencies looking to hire. Many staffing agencies offer a variety of additional services such as resume reviews, interviewing advice, and industry knowledge to support candidates in their job search free of charge.

WRIT 4431W: Science, Technology, and the Law

In need of another course for Fall 2019? Consider taking this 3.0 credit class taught by Professor Mary Schuster. The course will covers basic values and precedents that inform our legal system’s approach to invasion of privacy and discusses intellectual property with a focus on patents and copyright. Prelaw students and undergraduate majors in scientific and technical communication, political science, sociology, philosophy, science and engineering, communication studies, English, journalism, and related fields will find this course prepares them for the legal issues they will encounter in future careers in industry, government, and media. Students interested in law school should find this course of particular value.

Technical Writer Intern, Medica
Medica is looking for a full-time technical writer intern for this summer. In this position you will support all lines of business, fulfilling communicated business priorities and producing instructional content for hundreds of associates to access. This helps Medica do what it does best, keep promises to members every day. The ideal candidate will be a junior or senior with excellent communication and writing skills. Experience with insurance, Adobe Pro, and/or Microsoft Office is a plus.
This position requires 40 hours a week during the summer of 2019. Start and end dates are flexible, typically starting in mid-May or early June.
